Tara Wilson, MSW Intern
Tara Wilson is a Master’s level clinician who will receive her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) in August 2026. She has experience working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, supporting individuals and adolescents experiencing emotional distress, trauma, and mental health crises.
Tara previously worked as a Mental Health Specialist on an inpatient unit focused on acute crisis stabilization. In this role, she supported patients during moments of intense emotional distress, providing psychoeducation and practical coping strategies to help them regulate emotions and maintain safety. She has also worked as a group
therapist in an Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), where she facilitated therapeutic groups for youth ages 12–18. These groups incorporated psychoeducation, art therapy, and peer discussion to create a supportive space where adolescents could share their experiences and learn from one another.
Tara approaches her work with a compassionate, humanistic perspective. She believes that people are more than their diagnoses and strives to understand each client’s unique experiences, emotions, and patterns. Her goal is to help individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered as they work toward greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and a more fulfilling life.
Tara is passionate about creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment where clients can explore their challenges, develop new coping skills, and feel genuinely understood throughout the healing process.
