Substance and Eating Disorder Therapy

What Is It?

Substance & Eating Disorder Therapy provides specialized support for individuals facing challenges with addiction, disordered eating, or the interplay of both. Whether substance use, binge eating, restriction, body image concerns, or compulsive behaviors are present, our goal is to help you heal physically, emotionally, and psychologically.

How We Work with You

  • Comprehensive Assessment — We begin by understanding your history, patterns, medical status, nutritional needs, and any co-occurring mental health issues.

  • Evidence-Based Therapeutic Approaches

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT / CBT-ED) to challenge unhelpful thoughts, regulate eating behaviors, address triggers. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, reducing impulsive behaviors.

    • Motivational Enhancement and Relapse Prevention strategies (especially in substance use) to support change, sustain recovery, and prevent relapse.

    • Family-based or relational work when appropriate, particularly for younger clients, or when the family system plays a strong role.

  • Holistic Support — Treatment isn’t only about therapy sessions. We work with you on nutritional wellness, body image, self-compassion, coping skills, and connecting with appropriate medical or psychiatric care if needed.

If you feel ready to begin or want to talk through whether this kind of therapy is right for you, we're here to help.
